B20 Chair Daniel Funes de Rioja participated in the 2nd meeting of the G20 Digital Economy Task Force held in Buenos Aires on July 31st
In a 2-day event, representatives of international organizations and G20 member and guest countries discussed topics such as data and measurement of the digital economy, digital government, bridging the gender digital divide, digital infrastructure and Economy 4.0.
“In order to enable a digital environment, governments need to promote global connectivity and infrastructure development,” said Daniel Funes de Rioja
“It is essential that education programs are accessible for both genders and address the digital skills gender gap,” stated Daniel Funes de Rioja
The G20 Digital Economy Task Force seeks to reach recommendations that focus on advancing inclusive development through digital transformation. The effective use of new technologies is a key factor in economic development.
The G20 working group will meet again at the Digital Economy Ministerial meeting that will be held on 23–24 August 2018 in Salta, Argentina.
