The Energy, Resource Efficiency & Sustainability Task Force Meeting was held on Monday 28th of May in the framework of the OECD Week in Paris.
The session was chaired by Miguel Gutierrez (ERES Chair & YPF CEO), alongside Hugo Eurnekian (Energy, Resource Efficiency and Sustainability Co-Chair & President of CGE, Corporación América), Marcelo Mindlin (ERES Co-Chair & Pampa Energía President) Teófilo Lacroze (ERES Co-Chair & Shell President) and Marcos Bulgheroni (ERES Co-Chair & Pan American Energy Group CEO).
The working group continued to develop their policy recommendations. Topics discussed included the promotion of energy transitions towards cleaner technologies, resource efficiency and the climate adaptation agenda.
“The three topics that guide the consensus in our Energy, Resource Efficiency & Sustainability Task Force are the main problems our world is currently facing. The need to provide energy to isolated areas to boost their growth (inclusion), climate adaptation requires us to think of renewable energy sources and reduce carbon emissions to arrive at a sustainable economy. Last but not least, employment creation, with the development of infrastructure for the creation of energy and the widening of access to energy sources” said Miguel Gutierrez
The task force will meet again at the ERES Task Force Meeting in Bariloche, Argentina, on June 14th.
