The Professional Council on Public Relations held a meeting at the Industrial Union of Argentina (UIA) in Buenos Aires on November 16th.
The meeting was organized by the Professional Council on Public Relations of the Argentine Republic (CRRPP) and focused on the achievements accomplished by the Argentine B20 cycle and the key points in the consensus articulation process.
The atendees also focused on the joint work with the G20 engagement groups and the various challenges in reaching the recommendations presented by B20 to G20. The topics of the 8 task forces touched on all areas of economic activity and led to the final B20 recommendations presented to Argentine President Mauricio Macri at the B20 Summit in October.
Present at the meeting were Fernando Landa (B20 Policy Sherpa), Carolina Castro (B20 Executive Sherpa), Alejandro Anderlic (Director of Corporate, External and Legal Affairs at Microsoft Argentina), Lucila Lalanne (Corporate board member of the Professional Council on Public Relations of the Argentine Republic), Matías Diaz Fernandez (Senior Manager Public Affairs at Mercado Libre), Juan Pablo Maglier (Institutional Relations Director at the Argentine Rural Society), Matías Szapiro (Public & Government Affairs Manager at Exxon Mobil Exploration Argentina), among others.
“In assuming the B20 presidency, Argentina had the opportunity to lead this process of international dialogue. From now on, our main challenge is not losing our active participation and achieving concrete and actionable results at national level,” said Carolina Castro.
“It would be a mistake to consider that since B20 is a Multilateral Forum, all policies are directed at the multilateral level. 75% of our policy actions are implementable at national levels and should therefore drive a compelling agenda for B20 governments,” stated Fernando Landa.
